Hydrogen Oxide is a Welsh Science rock band formed in Holyhead in 2008, heavily inspired by American science rockers Helium Override. They are very popular in the areas of Gwynedd and Holyhead, where they play frequently. They self released their first EP in 2008 after playing their first shows in Wales, and released their first album Gas Exposure in 2010 under Draftheadston Records, as well as playing their first shows in England, Scotland and Northern Ireland. They are due to headline one of the New Act stages at Glastonbudget in Leicester, England and play Iceland Airwaves in Iceland this year, as well as a short tour of the USA and Canada in November. They will also play a one off gig in Greenland for free before returning to Wales to record their second album.
